I'd been seeing Jane's picture on Rescue Me for many weeks. I was very tempted to visit her, for possible adoption, the first I saw her picture. With 'The Holidays' looming, I held off. As she STILL had not been adopted, after the holidays, I finally decided to got meet her. As her 'bio' described, I found her very energetic, maybe a bit too excitable. However, she seemed to take to me, and I definitely 'took to her'. She 'led' fairly well, and while on short leash, looked at me constantly for direction. Of course, she also wanted to give me 'kisses' and seemed to love being petted. So, once home from the visit, I committed to adopting her. I had two reasons for adopting her. (1) She really appeared to be in need of a 'forever home', having been shuffled around for a long time. (2) I have a nearly identical rescued male, about the same age, who really needs another energetic dog to play with. Now, having had her home for the better part of a week, she is rapidly getting used to her new home, playing with my other dog, constantly, and behaving extremely well. All she needed was love, a home, gentle discipline, and a playmate. She's a great dog, as most are when loved and treated properly. Thanks for posting her, Rescue Me!

I've been looking at Jane's posting on Rescue Me for nearly a month. I have a 20 month old rescued lab/mix from Georgia, and thought the two might make a great match. I finally decided to adopt Jane. I picked her up last night, and my 'Ruger' and Jane have been a great match from the minute I brought her home. I'd post a picture of them, together (nearly 'spitting images' of each other), but don't see how to.

I adopted Ella, who is not a Greyhound cross, as a companion for my Greyhound that had lost her buddy. Ella and Summer are great pals. Ella loves to go to vet and just loves everyone. Thank you, Rescue Me!

There was many requests for Rocket from your website and he did find a fantastic home with a 75 year old lady who enjoys taking him for daily walks in her neighborhood. Her house cat also joins them for their walks. Thank you Rescue Me!

Ginger found a new home! She is with a vet tech and family. She sleeps in bed with a sixteen year old boy, his other dog and a kitty! We are so thankful to the Good Lord that all ended well, giving her a new beginning. Thanks, Gwen

After I listed Lady on Rescue Me, I found that I had signed a contract with the greyhound Guardian Angels Rescue Kennel, stating that if I could not keep her I would return her. After listing her with you I waited several weeks and when I had no response from your site, I very reluctantly fulfilled that contract and returned her to the kennel. Of course, after doing so, I received several inquiries from Rescue Me, which I directed to the Guardian Angels. Unfortunately, none of them were successful 'matches'. I hope I did not break any rules by doing so. I am devestated that she is not in a loving home and would have broken the contract if I could have placed her with loving people. You do wonderful work and I would recommend your services highly.

COCO was adopted by a loving family of four; the Dad runs with her everyday; the Mom feeds her and lets her out to play; the little boy and his baby sister hug and kiss her and have a new playmate! HAPPY BEGINNING! I could not have prayed for more than this for COCO.

Jeff, Thanks to RescueMe.Org and the West Memphis Greyhound Rescue, Jethro of Ruckus is on his way to a loving new home. His new family tragically lost their 15yr old greyhound just recently to cancer. They have another (female) greyhound at home, and were recommended by the West Memphis rescue. Our 3 short days with Jethro have been amazing! Having stumbled upon him in a rural area here in Arkansas, we knew instantly that we had to find his home. He was too well mannered and healthy to have been a stray for very long. We quickly learned how to trace his ear tattoos through the national greyhound registry and not only found out his proper name and lineage, but his date of birth, race record, etc. The registry also showed that he was adopted out through the West Memphis rescue. From there, the rescue was able to contact the former owner. Unfortunately, he was unwilling to continue to care for Jethro. The rescue then made the decision to place Jethro with his new family. Since they were the ones that originally rescued Jethro, we felt the need to refer to the Greyhound rescue to place him with his new family. However, in the day since the ad was posted on RescueMe.Org, we have received numerous calls from loving families wanting to adopt Jethro. Turns out that Jethro has had an amazing life. Thanks to RescueMe.Org, and other pet loving organizations and individuals alike, his story will continue. Thanks again to you and your organization for all the work you do. Mike
