This beautiful dog had such a broken spirit when came in the shelter. She would not allow you go get close to her, but she would wag her tail. You see her former owner allowed her kids to throw rocks and sticks at her. Then they moved and left her. So she ended up at Animal Control. It took a week for me to be able to touch her. I got her into a foster home and her foster mom is amazing. This dog has turned into the most loving dog. She get along great with other dogs too. She is just such a happy sweet girl. And to see her run....is a sight to behold. She is house trained and knows lot of commands. She catches on quickly. Mostly she just like to be close and give kisses. She is also heart worm negative. If you give her a wonderful life...please let us know. Please contact us at email@example.com or call 803-596-8046 (Less)

Walter is a high energy lovable boy. He loves to run and would do great with a place he can either work or go jogging every day with! He has a very high prey drive so small dogs, cats, and other animals wouldn't be good with him. He is about 45lbs. He is housebroken and gets along great with his other foster siblings. Loves children and is protective of them. He does have allergies, not sure if it is the food or fleas (they had an uprising in the past week) and he is very itchy on his rear but we are clearing that up, yet his hair is a bit thin there atm)! He has been in foster care for over a year and just wants a loving family!

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Greyhound in South Carolina|
Greyhound Dogs can make good pets in South Carolina if they match your IifestyIe. The Greyhound is a reserved, elegant, intelligent breed. Greyhounds are gentle, sweet companions that can be a joy to own. Greyhounds are excellent choices for adoption as adults; former racers are already crate trained and easy to housebreak, and this dog adapts well to new owners. Greyhounds have a strong chasing instinct and should not typically be trusted with non-canine animals. Greyhounds do well with older, considerate children. They do not like to be teased. A Greyhound can live in an apartment and may even behave lazily indoors, but does need daily exercise. Greyhounds are sensitive to extreme cold and should wear a coat outside in the winter.
