Rescue Me ID: 15-06-02-00475Shadow (female)
Shadow is about 1yr old.. She is spayed and up to date on shots.. It is only a guess that she is greyhound/lab mix.. as her stature was very greyhound.. But her lineage is unknown.. She is 100% adorable.. She is great w/ other dogs/cats and kids.. She currently is in Foster w/ other dogs and cats and if fantastic. She is active, not one to sit still for pictures.. But is very gentle and a good learner/listener.. She is an absolute Sweetheart. She does need a Fence. Please contact me for the Pre-Adoption Questions. Once that information is received and verified a Meet and Greet can be set up.. Please note, we do NOT do transports.. And Meet and Greets MUST be here at the foster home, in Northampton, PA. Shadow is under the care of a local shelter all appropriate paperwork/records will be provided at time of adoption. Thank you and can't wait to hear from you. (Less)

Animal ID: 2015-007Crosby (male)
This handsome young gent is in need of a new 'Fureverhome' and we are happy to help. Crosby is a 21 month old mostly Doberman mix (said to be Greyhound but could be Shepherd), he is fully vetted (recently neutered) and we are told has been living in a home with children 11 years and older. Crosby is a happy dog, sweet natured through and through, he will amuse himself with bones and soft chew toys. Crosby dearly loves playing nicely with the female Dobe in the home. Housebroken, and crate trained; he will bark to protest at some point, and immediately quiets to the 'no' command, he then remains quiet. Crosby is a quiet dog, he play barks occasionally, otherwise, he growls in warning if someone approaches the house. Crosby loves being cuddled. Things we are working on, Crosby jumps up on people and counters, window ledges, furniture, etc. He will immediately get 'off' with the 'no' command, but clearly has not been trained to diminish this behavior. If interested in completing an adoption application for Crosby, please send your application request to FureverhomesDobermanRescue@outlook.com. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Greyhound in Pennsylvania
Greyhound Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The Greyhound is a reserved, elegant, intelligent breed. Greyhounds are gentle, sweet companions that can be a joy to own. Greyhounds are excellent choices for adoption as adults; former racers are already crate trained and easy to housebreak, and this dog adapts well to new owners. Greyhounds have a strong chasing instinct and should not typically be trusted with non-canine animals. Greyhounds do well with older, considerate children. They do not like to be teased. A Greyhound can live in an apartment and may even behave lazily indoors, but does need daily exercise. Greyhounds are sensitive to extreme cold and should wear a coat outside in the winter.
