The adoption fee will be going to the lovely elderly family that are fostering her right now. She was rehomed but an hour before I was supposed to leave the state for long period of time the family returned her because their cat was too stressed about her being around. She was originally abandoned by her owners and I took her in until I could find her a home. She's a lover and will shower you with kisses. I will be honest and say that she has escape artist tendencies and it only developed after I left. I had her for about three months she was a lovely and amazing dog. She started doing that because she doesn't know who her real human ... (Read More)parents are anymore. She needs lots of love and affection so she knows that your home is her forever home. The rehoming fee is so high because I want the family taking her in to know how big of a responsibility she is. All I want is for her to go to a good loving home. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Greyhound in New Mexico
Greyhound Dogs can make good pets in New Mexico if they match your IifestyIe. The Greyhound is a reserved, elegant, intelligent breed. Greyhounds are gentle, sweet companions that can be a joy to own. Greyhounds are excellent choices for adoption as adults; former racers are already crate trained and easy to housebreak, and this dog adapts well to new owners. Greyhounds have a strong chasing instinct and should not typically be trusted with non-canine animals. Greyhounds do well with older, considerate children. They do not like to be teased. A Greyhound can live in an apartment and may even behave lazily indoors, but does need daily exercise. Greyhounds are sensitive to extreme cold and should wear a coat outside in the winter.
