Rescue Me ID: 18-06-18-00409Pongo (male)

Greyhound Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Pongo is a very high energy 14 month old greymation (greyhound/dalmation). He is crate and potty trained. He still needs to be on a leash if not in a fenced in area. All of his shots are up to date and he is neutered. According to the families trainer, he has a personality challenge with one of the owners. Due to unforeseen health challenges with the other owner Pongo is not getting all of his needs met. As much as his family loves him dearly, we feel that he deserves a younger couple that can meet his high energy needs and continue with his training.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Greyhound in Nebraska
Greyhound Dogs can make good pets in Nebraska if they match your IifestyIe. The Greyhound is a reserved, elegant, intelligent breed. Greyhounds are gentle, sweet companions that can be a joy to own. Greyhounds are excellent choices for adoption as adults; former racers are already crate trained and easy to housebreak, and this dog adapts well to new owners. Greyhounds have a strong chasing instinct and should not typically be trusted with non-canine animals. Greyhounds do well with older, considerate children. They do not like to be teased. A Greyhound can live in an apartment and may even behave lazily indoors, but does need daily exercise. Greyhounds are sensitive to extreme cold and should wear a coat outside in the winter.
